Kyrie Irving defends himself for taking so many shots in loss
Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Kyrie Irving was on the defensive following the Boston Celtics’ loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4.

The Celtics now face a 3-1 deficit in their Eastern Conference semifinals series against the Bucks after losing 113-101 on Monday. Over the past three games, Irving has struggled with his shot, going 19-for-62, including a 7-for-22 performance in Game 4.

When asked to comment on his struggles following Game 4, Irving responded that he should perhaps be shooting even more.

Irving is the Celtics’ best player. If they are going to claw their way back into the series, the six-time All-Star will likely play a major role.

Even though Irving has been struggling with his shot recently, scorers know only one way to get themselves out of a slump, which is to keep shooting. Boston can only hope Irving’s shot start falling with more regularity in Game 5.
