Kyrie Irving Made NBA History In Mavs-76ers Game
USA TODAY Sports
On Monday evening, the Dallas Mavericks are playing the Philadelphia 76ers in Pennsylvania.  Kyrie Irving had missed the previous six games with an injury but returned to the lineup against the 76ers.    During the game, the former Duke star made NBA history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Joe Dumars (16,402) for 109th on the all-time scoring list. Following Dumars, the next player for him to pass will be Jerry Stackhouse (16,409).  Irving came into the evening with impressive averages of 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range in 27 games.   Getting the 2016 NBA Champion back in the lineup was huge for the Mavs because they are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 3-7 over their last ten games.  They are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-23 record in 49 games.  Following the 76ers, the Mavs will play the second night of a back-to-back when they visit the Brooklyn Nets
