The LA Clippers announced on Monday afternoon that they are moving their G League team to Oceanside, California, and rebranding them as the San Diego Clippers. The San Diego Clippers will play at the brand-new Frontwave Arena beginning next season.

On the move, Halo Sports and Entertainment CEO Gillian Zucker said, "We are proud to re-introduce the San Diego Clippers into this passionate sports market. Our G League team is a critical part of our business and basketball operation, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the new Frontwave Arena next season."

With the LA Clippers moving to the brand-new Intuit Dome next season, their G League team will also be entering a brand-new arena.

Josh Elias, the Co-Founder and CEO of Frontwave Arena, spoke on the move, saying, "We are excited to show off our new home Frontwave Arena and welcome the San Diego Clippers next season. Working with a world class organization like the Clippers and people like Steve Ballmer and Gillian Zucker to create a new home to showcase their commitment both on and off the basketball court is a slam dunk."

Frontwave Arena has a capacity of 7,500, and will host entertainment and sporting events that include concerts, comedy shows, community events, and San Diego Sockers professional indoor soccer games.

This is another exciting announcement for the Clippers, who continue to make moves ahead of what will be a big 2024-25 year.
