JJ Redick’s poor reaction to the LA Lakers’ loss against a short-staffed Atlanta Hawks team did not reflect well on him.

The Lakers were coming off their best performance of the season against the Spurs but failed to build on that momentum against an understrength Hawks team.

And after a strong game last time out, Luka Doncic was not able to find the same form in this one. He finished with 22 points and 11 assists but shot just 7-of-17 from the field and struggled defensively.

The rest of the Lakers also had an off night on both ends of the floor, with JJ Redick expressing his frustration after the final whistle.

LA Lakers coach JJ Redick walks out after abrupt and short press conference

JJ Redick did not hide his frustration during the LA Lakers’ post-game press conference. The second-year head coach was not pleased with how his side played.

He kept his answers short, responding bluntly to each question before walking out and ending the session in less than two minutes.

This is not the first time Redick has cut a press conference short. Fans may remember a similar incident early last season, when he walked out because of frustration with reporters.

Redick has proven himself as a capable coach, using his strong understanding of the game to make up for limited experience. However, moments like these highlight areas where he still has room to grow.

His passion is clear, and it is not necessarily a bad thing. But it is important for him to handle tough results more calmly, especially when speaking publicly.

LA Lakers have a chance to bounce back against struggling Charlotte Hornets

The Los Angeles Lakers did not play their best game, but there is no reason to panic just yet.

Monday night brings a chance to respond as they face the 3-6 Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets have been struggling this season, and the Lakers will be expected to take care of business.

It could also be a good chance for the Lakers to get Austin Reaves back into the line-up after missing their last few games.

A win over the Hornets would give the Lakers some momentum heading into their next road trip before they return home to Crypto.com Arena.
