The Los Angeles Lakers have officially added four players to their NBA offseason roster, announcing the signings of guards RJ Davis and Augustas Marciulionis and forwards Eric Dixon and Arthur Kaluma.
All four are undrafted rookies and have signed Exhibit 10 contracts, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
Each player was previously linked to the Lakers shortly after the June draft, so the signings come as no surprise. However, it is notable that Dixon — previously expected to land a two-way deal — has instead signed an Exhibit 10.
Dixon, a 6-foot-8 forward from Villanova, was the highest-ranked undrafted player on ESPN’s board at No. 44. He led the nation in scoring last season with 23.3 points per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from three, and 81.3 percent at the line. He also added 5.1 rebounds per game and earned third-team All-American honors.
According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, Dixon did not participate in Summer League due to a foot injury. That may have factored into the Lakers’ decision to offer him an Exhibit 10 instead of a two-way contract. He remains a candidate for a promotion before the regular season begins, as Exhibit 10 deals can be converted to two-ways.
Davis, a six-foot guard and the 2023-24 ACC Player of the Year, averaged 17.2 points and 3.6 assists per game as a super-senior at North Carolina.
Marciulionis, a 6-foot-4 Lithuanian guard and two-time WCC Player of the Year, averaged 14.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 35 games for Saint Mary’s, shooting 44.6 percent overall and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Kaluma, a 6-foot-7 wing who finished his college career at Texas, averaged 12.3 points and 7.5 rebounds with 1.8 assists last season. He previously played at Creighton and Texas State and shot 46.2 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from deep.
Exhibit 10 contracts are non-guaranteed but include a bonus of up to $85,300 if the player is waived and then spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate.
