Bronny James has not seen any action for the Los Angeles Lakers since returning from the NBA All-Star Break. The Lakers have played two games, but James has remained inactive in both.

The 21-year-old guard did not play on Friday as the Lakers defeated their cross-town rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, 125-122. James did not suit up on Sunday either as L.A. suffered a home defeat against the Boston Celtics, 111-89.

The Lakers are back in action on Tuesday as they look to bounce back from the Celtics blowout. They will host the Orlando Magic at Crypto.com Arena, and it remains to be seen if James will get some minutes.

The Lakers have made a move on James ahead of Tuesday’s matchup against Orlando. The team published their injury report on Monday, which included a crucial piece of information on the second-year shooting guard.

The Lakers announced that James has been assigned to the NBA G League's South Bay Lakers. L.A. sent James down along with second-round rookie Adou Thiero.

The Lakers did not reveal how long James will remain with their NBA G League affiliate team. However, it’s possible that this will be another brief stint.

The Lakers assigned James to South Bay on Thursday, where he played two games. He was recalled on Sunday but remained inactive for the Celtics game.

James has played a total of six games for South Bay this season. He is currently averaging 15.5 points on 53.6% shooting, 3.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.5 minutes per contest. He is also knocking down 2.2 triples on a highly efficient 40.6% clip.

James’ strong play has yet to translate at the NBA level, though. In 29 appearances for the Lakers this season, he has averaged 2.2 points and 1.2 assists in 7.3 minutes per game.

It remains to be seen at this point if James will be recalled for Tuesday’s matchup against the Magic.
