On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors for their fourth and final regular season matchup. So far, the Lakers have defeated the Warriors in each of their three previous games and will look to complete the season series sweep.

With just a couple of weeks left in the season, the Lakers currently own a 46-29 record and own the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Golden State, however, is only two games behind them in the standings. With only a handful of games remaining for both teams, the winner of this matchup will get a huge boost in the standings just before the start of the playoffs.

Ahead of their game against Golden State, the Lakers made a notable injury announcement regarding one of their players that fans will want to monitor.

Two months ago, the Lakers made a shocking trade by acquiring Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Anthony Davis. However, the Lakers also received Maxi Kleber in the deal, but he has yet to suit up for the Lakers due to a foot injury. While there is still no concrete timetable for his on-court return, Kleber is reportedly progressing, according to The Athletic's Jovan Buha.

"Update from the Lakers: Maxi Kleber has progressed to on-court activities after undergoing right foot surgery Jan. 30. Kleber will continue his return-to-play process and further updates will be provided as appropriate," Buha wrote on X.

Getting Kleber on the court could be big for the Lakers as they look to end the regular season on a high note in hopes of going on a deep playoff run.
