Lakers' Anthony Davis: Suns' Devin Booker's mid-air shove of Dennis Schroder a 'dirty play'

Anthony Davis was not happy with Devin Booker's mid-air shove of Dennis Schroder with just 35.4 seconds remaining in Thursday's Game 3 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns.

"Can't happen. Can't do that. They've been chirping it's playoff basketball, but you don't push a guy out the air like that, two hands," Davis said. "It's a dirty play."

Booker pushed Schroder mid-air with the Lakers up by 10 points and their eventual 109-95 win essentially secured. Schroder bounced off Jae Crowder before falling, rolling out of bounds and hitting some pushups afterward.

Booker was given a Flagrant 2 and automatically ejected from the game. Crowder was also tossed out after picking up a technical foul.

Most of Davis' teammates agreed with his assessment of Booker's shove. LeBron James said, "I thought the play wasn't a basketball play" and Schroder added that Booker probably would receive a suspension if it was the regular season.

It's unlikely the NBA suspends Booker amid the playoffs, but a fine is certainly possible given the nature of the foul.

This is Booker's first appearance in the postseason, and he's been solid offensively. Through three games, the 24-year-old is averaging 28 points, four rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 41% from the field and 22.6% from deep.

Hopefully he can keep his emotions in check during Game 4 on Sunday.
