The Los Angeles Lakers’ season came to an end after a disappointing first-round performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who defeated L.A. in five games—despite the Lakers entering the series as favorites.
With the offseason now underway, rookie forward Dalton Knecht appears to be enjoying his downtime. He was recently spotted on stage at what appeared to be a Chief Keef concert over the weekend.
The video quickly went viral, racking up over a million views on social media, along with 17,000 likes and more than 1,200 retweets

Knecht had an impressive start to his rookie campaign, but his momentum seemed to stall following a trade deadline deal—ultimately rescinded—that would have sent him to the Charlotte Hornets. After that, he didn’t look quite the same and ended up logging just four total minutes in the postseason under head coach JJ Redick.
NBA fans had mixed reactions to seeing Knecht on stage at a concert—especially given that he didn’t play a significant role down the stretch of the Lakers' season. Some questioned the optics of the appearance so soon after the team's early playoff exit, while others saw it as a rookie simply enjoying his offseason.
"Connect 4 having the time of his life," a fan said.
"I’m sold. Keep him in LA," another fan posted.
Someone else added, "He should be somewhere doing so many defensive slide drills that he couldn’t be able to stand up right now."
One more fan commented, "Bruh just kickin it with college teammates chill."
Knecht appeared in 78 games during his rookie season after being selected No. 17 overall out of Tennessee. He averaged 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game, while shooting an efficient 46.1% from the field, 37.6% from three-point range, and 76.2% from the free-throw line.
His standout performance came in November against the Utah Jazz, when he exploded for a season-high 37 points, including nine made three-pointers.
