Darvin Ham believes LeBron James will return before season's end
Darvin Ham Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

While the Los Angeles Lakers have not offered a public timetable for LeBron James’ injury return, head coach Darvin Ham did offer an outwardly-encouraging update on Sunday.

A right foot injury has kept James out of the fray since the end of February, but Ham said Sunday that the team anticipates him returning to the court before the end of the regular season.

That end to the season is coming up quick, now. Lakers have just 11 games left for the campaign, including Sunday’s matchup with the Magic. Their campaign will wrap on April 9. Parsing all of this out, Ham’s quote suggests that James will return within the next three weeks.

The Lakers said at the beginning of March that James would be re-evaluated in three weeks, a point which has essentially been reached. The all-timer's prognosis and progress sounds positive, at the very least, though the team is understandably keeping their cards close to the vest on this one.

There has been some talk recently that James may be involved in some unorthodox efforts to treat his injury. Perhaps those are doing the trick.
