Magic Johnson marked another personal milestone nearly three decades after retiring from the game, sharing his excitement about receiving yet another championship ring, this time not as a player, but as an owner.

The five-time NBA champion took to his X handle to announce that he’s gearing up to receive his 18th championship ring at Dodger Stadium, as the team is set to be honored for winning the 2025 World Series.

“Today is a very special day for me as I will be receiving my 18th championship ring tonight at Dodger Stadium. We will celebrate our back-to-back World Series Championships at ring night – I’m so excited!!!” Johnson captioned the post with an edited photo of himself wearing 16 rings.

For the unreserved, Magic Johnson has been a co-owner of the Dodgers since 2012. In the same post, he also highlighted all the times he has received championship rings.

“I currently have (1) Everett High School State Championship, (1) Michigan State NCAA Championship, (11) Lakers Championships – (5) as a player, (5) as a co-owner and (1) as an executive, (1) LAFC Major League Soccer Championship, (1) LA Sparks WNBA Championship, and (3) World Series Championships with the Dodgers!”

Well, the legend should have 20 rings in total, because he has, “(2) E-Sports Championships as co-owner of Team Liquid!”

Nevertheless, he has another message for his alma mater.

Magic Johnson sends a message to Michigan State

Ahead of Michigan State’s clash against the Connecticut Huskies in Washington, D.C., Michigan State alumnus Magic Johnson shared a message for the team, writing, “I want to wish my Spartans the best of luck as they take on UConn in the NCAA Tournament today! I’ll be watching from Dodgers Stadium!”

However, despite the motivational speech, the Spartans failed to stop the Huskies, suffering a 67–63 defeat after a hard-fought battle. UConn big man Tarris Reed Jr. sealed the game with four clutch free throws in the final minute to eliminate the Spartans.

With that said, what do you think about Magic Johnson’s latest achievements?
