Lakers Injury Report: Nature Of New Anthony Davis Ailment Revealed
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Your Los Angeles experienced a pretty scary moment yesterday, when All-Star center (and best two-way player) Anthony Davis suffered a hard foul in the third quarter of the team's eventual double-overtime win over the Golden State Warriors

While barreling through three Warriors defenders en route to the rack, Davis appeared to get kneed in a particularly sensitive area by professional Warriors irritant Draymond Green (let's hope it was inadvertent, but who knows?), after which he laid on the ground for an inordinate amount of time.

He eventually got up, made his free throws, and departed for LA's locker room. The Brow did later return to action for the club.

The 6'10" big man indicated postgame that he suffered hip spasms after the encounter, but suggested he's doing better now, as Jovan Buha of The Athletic details.

"I'm good," Davis said.

Davis wrapped up the game with 29 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the field and 7-of-9 shooting from distance, along with 13 rebounds, three assists and four blocks.

LA improves to a 23-22 season record, while dropping a chief Pacific Division rival to an even-worse 19-24 record. The double-overtime victory has emerged as a win-win for the Lakers, in that it not only made a competitor worse, it also boosted Los Angeles in the Western Conference.
