Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic was back at it again on Tuesday, leading the Purple and Gold to their fifth straight win.

The Lakers beat the Los Angeles Clippers135-118 in the Battle of L.A. at Crypto.com Arena, with Doncic recording a near triple-double of 43 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists.

It was Doncic's fifth 40-point game of the season with the Lakers and seventh overall with the team, having also recorded two 45-point performances after he was traded to the L.A. franchise last campaign.

With his performance, Doncic made history in the process. According to the Lakers, the Slovenian guard is now 10th on the franchise's all-time list for the most 40-point games ever.

Doncic surpassed Magic Johnson for the solo hold of the spot. Johnson had six 40-point games in his legendary career with the Lakers.

"TOP 10 in Lakers history," the team wrote on social media.

Making his feat more amazing, Doncic has only played 41 games for the Lakers so far, including their latest showdown with the Clippers.

With the momentum he's on, it's not hard to see Doncic climbing up the list and potentially cracking the top five by the end of the season. Gail Goodrich is currently No. 9 for Lakers 40-point games with 11, while Anthony Davis and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are tied with 15 each. LeBron James is sixth with 18, while George Mikan is fifth with 23.

Kobe Bryant (122), Elgin Baylor (88), Jerry West (66) and Shaquille O'Neal (26) round out the top four, per Stat Muse.
