Anthony Davis was hampered with injuries all season long this season, as he battled through a groin injury during the Lakers’ recent playoff series loss to the Suns.

However, Davis is seemingly in a much better place now than he was a few weeks ago, according to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Bally Sports.

“Groin feels real good,” Davis said. Trust me, we’re going to be ready for next year. We’re going to be right. We’re going to RIGHT!”

When Davis is healthy, he is one of the top 10 players in the league. The Lakers will need him to return to that form if they hope to go back to the Finals next season.

  • The Lakers have contracts they can move in order to acquire Kyle Lowry in a sign-and-trade this offseason, Eric Koreen of The Athletic writes. Koreen adds that those contracts aren’t overly desirable, but if the Lakers and Lowry have strong enough mutual interest, then a deal can likely be made.
  • Dennis Schroder didn’t quite fit in with the Lakers a season after finishing second in the running for the Sixth Man of the Year Award. With him unlikely to return, Jason Reed of FanSided shares why a sign-and-trade is most likely going to happen.

  • Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd was briefly discussed as a candidate for the open Mavericks head coaching position, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN. Kidd had two stints with the Mavs during his playing career, as he won his lone championship with the organization back in 2011.
