While the 2025 NBA Draft took place last week, teams will get a couple of weeks for their prospects to prepare for the upcoming Summer League that takes place from July 10- July 20.
All 30 NBA teams will participate, with each playing at least five games to give young prospects a chance to showcase their skills at the professional level and potentially earn a roster spot for next season.
For the Los Angeles Lakers, players like Bronny James, Dalton Knecht, and others will play for them in the league. But for 2025 second-round pick, Adou Thiero, he won't be seen this summer.
According to Lakers reporter Jovan Buha, No. 36 overall pick Adou Thiero will continue to recover from an injury he sustained while playing for coach John Calipari at the University of Arkansas.
"Lakers second-round pick Adou Thiero (left knee) won't participate in the team's summer league games, per the team. He's in the final stages of his return to play process from a knee ailment he dealt with at Arkansas. He's expected to be fully cleared for training camp," Buha took to X on Wednesday.

He's expected to be fully cleared for training camp.
Adou Thiero suffered a hyperextended left knee back on February 22 while playing for head coach Calipari at the University of Arkansas. After missing the entire back half of the 2024-25 NCAA season, he returned in the Razorbacks Sweet Sixteen matchup against Texas Tech, but only played five minutes with a time restriction.
Thiero is still dealing with the knee injury and will look to continue to rehab the issue, expecting to return for Lakers' training camp that starts on October 1.
The 21-year-old rookie followed coach Calipari when he left Kentucky to Arkansas in the spring of 2024.
In Adou Thiero's breakout season in college, he averaged 15.1 PTS, 5.8 REB, 1.9 AST, and 1.6 STL while shooting 54.5% from the field in 27 games played.
