So far this offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers have had some major changes. The team lost Dorian Finney-Smith in free agency to the Houston Rockets, but they also signed Deandre Ayton after he was bought out by the Portland Trail Blazers.

Los Angeles suffered a first-round playoff loss at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves just a few months ago, but their outlook for next season is promising. LeBron James picked up his player option for next season, and the Lakers will have Luka Doncic for a full campaign for the first time.

Recently, the Lakers made additional cuts to trim their roster by releasing two players. On Monday, the team continued this trend and released their third player in two days.

Recently, the Lakers waived Shake Milton and Jordan Goodwin to make room for Marcus Smart, who has been bought out by the Washington Wizards. However, the Lakers did not stop there as the team announced that they have also released backup big man Trey Jemison, who they signed to a two-way contract in January after he was waived by the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers waived Jemison after signing Christian Koloko and Chris Manon to two-way contracts.

Jemison only appeared in 22 games for the Lakers and averaged just 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.3 minutes. The Alabama native has already played for four teams in his two-year NBA career, and it seems like that trend will only continue after getting waived by the Lakers.
