Lamar Odom reportedly evicted from Los Angeles mansion
Robert Deutsch, USAT

More hard times have come for former NBA champion Lamar Odom.

The retired ex-forward Odom is being sued by the landlord of his rental home in Los Angeles for allegedly failing to pay $45,000 in back rent, according to a report by Whitney Vasquez of the New York Post.

The lawsuit claims that Odom entered into a month-to-month tenancy at a megamansion in Studio Hills, Calif. in Dec. 2024 and agreed to pay $15,000 a month to stay at the property. However, Odom allegedly failed to pay three months of rent from Jan. 1 to March 31 (despite being given multiple supposed notices about his delinquency) and is now being ordered to vacate the rental property.

On top of that, Executive Recovery Group, Inc., the sublessor of the property, is suing Odom for the allegedly past-due rent as well as for forfeiture of their agreement, attorney’s fees, and damages. You can read the full report on the lawsuit against Odom here.

Odom, now 45, played in the NBA from 1999-2012. He was a two-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers and also won Sixth Man of the Year with them in 2011. According to Spotrac, Odom made an estimated $114.2 million in salary over the course of his NBA career.

But ever since his playing career ended, Odom has run into a multitude of troubles. Among other various personal issues, Odom was sued in 2021 for failing to make child support payments and was later sued for failing to make car payments as well. He was also involved in a 2023 car crash where he smashed his Mercedes and then made headlines last year over his odd purchase of a lifelike adult doll fashioned after his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.
