LeBron James, 41, is playing his 23rd NBA season but still producing on and off the court.

With the Los Angeles Lakers sitting fifth in the Western Conference, having won five of their last six games, James is operating the offense alongside Luka Doncic in purple and gold’s two-star system.

Doncic is mainly leading the scoring portion, averaging 32.5 points per game, while James fills the secondary playmaker role, contributing 19 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game in his last 10 games.

Off the hardwood, the money just keeps stacking. Forbes has recently released the new 2026 World's Billionaires List quietly and thanked AI’s explosion and sizzling market. It estimates he has raked in more than $1 billion from business ventures and endorsements alone. This includes major deals with brands like Nike, PepsiCo, and AT&T.

James officially hit the 10-figure mark in June 2022, becoming the first player to do so while still active in the league. For comparison, Michael Jordan didn't reach this status until 2014, over a decade after retiring.

His 2015 lifetime Nike deal alone, reportedly worth north of $1 billion, pays approximately $32 million annually and includes equity participation that grows alongside the Swoosh's business. Right now, his worth is estimated at $1.3 billion.

LeBron James is day-to-day and might miss tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a right hip contusion. He has already sat out the last two games.

The Lakers host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto.com Arena at 11 p.m. ET, which is going to be a tough matchup for them. The Wolves are 40-24 and third in the West, led by Anthony Edwards, who averages 29.6 points this season. It will be one of the more significant home tests on the Lakers' regular-season slate, regardless of whether James suits up.
