The Los Angeles Lakers have started the NBA season with a 5-2 record, and have had one of the most electric offenses across the league. However, the team's strong start to the season has come without the help of 21-time All-NBA selection LeBron James, who has been sidelined with sciatica.
James, 40, is set to officially make NBA history once he debuts in the 2025-26 season, which will mark his 23rd season of his career. While James has been out, the Lakers have seen a jaw-dropping display of scoring from Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, who are averaging 41.3 and 31.3 points respectively.
While James hasn't been able to take the floor just yet, he has been supporting the team from the bench, and continues to turn heads with his off-court ventures.
Aside from being a minority owner of the Fenway Sports Group, James is an investor in a tequila brand, has starred in multiple films, and has a lifetime deal with Nike, where he has a slew of signature shoes and a clothing line. As if he didn't seem busy enough, James launched the "Mind the Game" podcast in 2024 with current Lakers head coach JJ Redick. With Redick no longer a part of the show, Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash replaced him earlier this year.
The podcast, which has over 823,000 followers on YouTube, took to X on Monday to announce that the next episode will feature an appearance from four-time NBA champion and arguably the best shooter ever to touch a basketball, Steph Curry.
"Joining the show this week… the greatest shooter of all time. @StephenCurry30," wrote Mind the Game on X.

As seen at the end of the teaser, part one of the interview will air on Nov. 4 indicating that it'll be a multi-part series.
While James and Curry had one of the more iconic rivalries in the modern NBA during James' second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the two have seemingly remained great friends. They teamed up to lead Team USA to gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and there were also countless reports linking James to Curry's Golden State Warriors over the past year or so.
Being that James and Curry have essentially been the face of the NBA for the lifetime of many young fans, this episode will certainly capture the attention of many.
