LeBron James’ Awesome Message For Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown After East Finals MVP Win
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Brown was recently named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP after the Boston Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers. This prompted several players to congratulate the All-Star for his accomplishment, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

Last season, everyone trolled the Celtics for losing to the Miami Heat after the latter obtained a playoff spot via the Play-In Tournament. This prompted Boston’s front office to retool the roster, which led to the acquisition of veteran guard Jrue Holiday and big man Kristaps Porzingis.

The revamped Celtics roster turned out to be a beast as the team captured the league’s best record and the top seed in the Eastern Conference. It also laid down the path towards the NBA Finals as Boston eliminated the Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers in quick succession.

For his part, Brown proved to be instrumental in Boston’s current playoff run this year. Over the course of 14 postseason games, the two-time-All-Star forward posted 25.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest. He also connected 54 percent from the field, 36 percent from downtown, and 63 percent from the free throw line.

Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Receives Awesome Message From LeBron James After Winning East Finals MVP

Due to his impressive run in the playoffs this year, Brown helped Boston return to the Finals after they were defeated by the Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors in 2002. At the same time, the league named him Eastern Conference Finals MVP, leading Lakers star LeBron James to congratulate him on his official X account.

Apart from reaching the Finals and winning East MVP, Brown will also receive around $369,000 as bonus for advancing to the championship round. Meanwhile, the Celtics are awaiting the victor between Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks and Anthony EdwardsMinnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.

It remains to be seen whether Brown will play at the same level in the NBA Finals. What’s certain, though, is that Boston needs him to do so if they want to win the championship this year.
