LeBron James may not be back on the court, but his social media presence remains as healthy as ever. After Wednesday night's game between the Lakers and Wizards, LeBron took to Instagram to call out critics for not giving Westbrook enough respect.
"We know y'all HATE & don't APPRECIATE but we just laugh it off! But 1 thing you will do is RESPECT IT/US," LeBron captioned a post with photos of him and Westbrook talking before the game.
Westbrook had his 30 triple-double of the season in the win over the Lakers, scoring 18 points while adding 18 rebounds and 14 assists. He is currently set to finish the season with a triple-double average, which would be the fourth of his career.
Yet the former MVP remains a divisive figure among fans and the media, as many see Westbrook as an inefficient stat chaser who doesn't have what it takes to lead a team to a championship. On Monday, Westbrook vaguely alluded to these criticisms while affirming his abilities on the court.
"I honestly believe there is no player like myself, and if people want to take it for granted, sorry for them," Westbrook told reporters.
