LeBron James Drops Honest Take on Relationship With Jaylen Brown After Sneaky Bronny Reference

There’s no doubt that LeBron James continues to play well despite his advancing age. At 41, he’s still viewed as a global superstar. While his future in a Lakers’ uniform is murky, all early signs point to him playing a 24th year in the NBA.

Aside from being one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball, he’s also a father. LeBron James has been teammates with his son, Bronny, for two seasons now. While his eldest son won’t ever reach the insurmountable heights his old man has achieved throughout his career, it’s widely considered that Bronny is at least an NBA-caliber player.

After the Lakers lost to the Celtics, a reporter asked LeBron about his relationship with Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown. Unsurprisingly, he dropped a respectful answer but threw shade at Brown’s comments about Bronny in 2024.

“Our relationship has been pretty respectful, besides the sh** that he said about Bronny at Summer League. But other than that, we’ve been alright,” LeBron James said (viewer discretion advised).

For additional context, during a summer league game Bronny participated in a few years back, Jaylen Brown was caught on camera saying that Bronny isn’t ready for the big league. Of course, that quickly went viral. LeBron James has undoubtedly seen the video clip making the rounds on X.

Lakers’ Defense Was Labeled ‘Disgusting’ By LeBron

The Lakers are a hard team to decipher. There are nights when they look like a contender. However, there are also plenty of nights when they are just playing to survive. Despite having Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and LeBron James, they can’t seem to find the perfect balance to go on to lengthy winning streak.

When asked about LA’s on-court performance, LeBron James was extremely blunt with this answer. “I know that when we’ve played some of our best basketball this season, we look very good,” he said during All-Star Weekend at Intuit Dome. “On the other side, when we’ve been terrible, we’ve looked disgusting.”

It’s clear that this team needs a capable three-and-D wing. But they came out empty-handed in that area after the trade deadline.
