LeBron James' Former Team Dubbed Top Landing Spot for Son Bryce James

The James family is on its way to becoming the NBA's version of the Mannings in the NFL, as LeBron James stands on the cusp the longest career in league history and currently plays alongside his eldest son, Bronny James, with the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James' second son, Bryce James, just finished his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School in California and is headed to the University of Arizona for his freshman year of college hoops in 2025-26.

Whether Bryce James -- a three-star recruit -- has NBA chops is a matter of some debate, just as it was with his older brother. But Bronny James fought through the insults and accusations of nepotism to become a veritable star in the NBA's G League, where he averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in 34.2 minutes of court time across 11 games played for the South Bay Lakers.

That level of production in the G League typically translates into a player who can at least earn a rotation spot in the NBA, and Bronny James is still just 20 years old. He also made 27 appearances, including one start, with the NBA Lakers, averaging 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes of court time.

On Wednesday, June 25, the day of the NBA draft, Andrew Peters of Bleacher Report named the three best landing spots for Bryce James -- assuming he proves himself a professional prospect. Among the teams mentioned were the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the one that makes arguably the most sense is the Miami Heat

"If there's a team that excels at turning late-round draft picks into everyday NBA players, it's the Miami Heat. Landing in Miami could be the perfect thing for Bryce early in his career," Peters wrote . "Barring a standout freshman year, it seems unlikely he'll be as NBA-ready as prospects like AJ Dybantsa and others. Like Bronny, Bryce will need some time to develop, and Miami would be a great place for him to do that. Not to mention, he would also be afforded the opportunity to play under Erik Spoelstra, who his father won a pair of championships with earlier in his career."
