LeBron James Had A Bottle Of Wine, Coffee Cup, And 3 Bottles Of Water Under His Seat During The Cavs Game
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James was sitting courtside for Game 4 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics on Monday night. His wife, Savannah James, and agent, Rich Paul, sat next to him, but what caught the attention of social media, was what was under LeBron's seat: a wine bottle, a coffee cup, and three water bottles.

It is unclear whether someone gifted that bottle of wine to LeBron or whether he brought it to the game. You can see something was written on it, which makes me lean toward the notion that someone just gifted it to the 20-time All-Star.

James was, of course, returning to his old stomping grounds here. The Cavaliers drafted him back in 2003 with the first pick and he spent 11 seasons with the franchise in two separate stints. While LeBron was a much-maligned figure after his first exit, all was forgiven when he left for the second time, as he won a championship in 2016.

It's all love now and James even received a standing ovation from Cavaliers fans while sitting courtside. The organization also played a tribute video for the 39-year-old and it was wonderful to witness all of that. James soaked in all that adoration and seemed to have had some sips of that fine white wine during the game as well.

While he would have loved all of that, LeBron wasn't all that happy toward the end of the game. The Cavaliers battled hard in this game, but with Donovan Mitchell being out, they just couldn't keep up with the Celtics. After Jaylen Brown hit a three to give Boston a 105-97 lead with just over a minute remaining, James decided it was time to leave.

LeBron might have just wanted to avoid traffic on his way out. The Cavaliers would go on to lose 109-102 and are now down 3-1 in this series.

LeBron famously orchestrated the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history after going down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors in 2016, but I don't expect a repeat from the Cavaliers here. Maybe if the NBA allowed LeBron to suit up for them, they might have pulled it off.

LeBron James Told Doc Rivers That Wine Is The Only Bad Thing He Consumes

LeBron has always taken great care of his body and it is a big reason why he has been able to keep playing at such a high level at this stage of his career. When speaking about his longevity, Doc Rivers revealed that LeBron once told him that wine is the only bad thing he puts in his body.

"As LeBron told me, other than wine, I put nothing bad in my body. He says he carries bags around of different foods and he said it's down to timing.

"There's certain times that he has to eat, there's certain times that he can't eat. It's just incredible to watch."

I suppose you have to go to these lengths to remain at the top of your game for all these years. In his 21st season in the NBA, LeBron averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game and there is clearly gas left in the tank. How much longer he keeps playing is the big question and I think he'll be around for a couple more years.
