Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is an 18-time NBA All-Star and fast approaching Karl Malone for the second-most points ever, but despite his illustrious career, James has won just one scoring title. At age 37, James may finally win a second.
James dropped 50 points in a 122-109 win over the Washington Wizards and raised his season average to 29.71 points per game. With less than a month before the end of the regular season, James is a few hundredths of a point per game ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers' Joel Embiid and Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The scoring performance Friday night was the 14th 50-point game of James' career, and his second in a week. Last Saturday, James scored 56 to lead the Lakers past the Golden State Warriors.
The pair of wins led by 50-point performances from James are the only two victories for the Lakers since the All-Star break.
