The Los Angeles Lakers saw an early end to their playoff run this year, but offseason business goes on for star LeBron James.

James has expanded his business empire beyond just endorsements, moving into ventures like media and even men's care products. As Adam Hurly of GQ reported, the latest venture for James is a line of men's grooming products under the name of his Emmy-award winning barbershop-based talk show, "The Shop."

The NBA star took to Instagram on Friday to announce that his men's grooming line is now live on Amazon. The official page for the line shared its own announcement, tagging James.

Paul Rivera, co-creator of the talk show series that inspired the line, said they wanted the project to open new discussions.

“We created 'The Shop' out of a deep love and passion for the barbershop experience,” Rivera told GQ. “Our show was designed to bring people inside the shop for the debates, the arguments, and the therapy you can only get at a true neighborhood spot. Now we want to give people another side to the experience.”

James' longtime business partner, Maverick Carter, added that the men's grooming line aims to continue the authentic experience that the show taps into.

“The barbershop is where you go for empowering and authentic conversation. This line is rooted in that feeling of leaving The Shop looking good and feeling good,” Carter said.

James will need to make another big basketball-related business decision this offseason, facing a $52.6 million opt-in for the final season of his contract with the Lakers.
