The Dallas Cowboys apparently lost one of their most famous fans.
NBA superstar LeBron James said on Thursday night that he can no longer support the Cowboys because of their apparent stance on not allowing players to take a knee for the national anthem. James made the statement during an Instagram live appearance with his business partner, Maverick Carter.

“Nah man I had to sit put on the Cowboys man. It just a things that were going on when guys were kneeling... [The] organization were like if do that around here you won’t play for this franchise again.”#DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/gYusCcs8KY
James added that he is now throwing his support behind his hometown Cleveland Browns. While the Browns never made any official stance on how players should handle protests or kneeling during the national anthem, they are not without their controversy given their acquisition of Deshaun Watson and the massive guaranteed contract they gave him despite facing more than 20 lawsuits for sexual misconduct.
Watson is currently serving an 11-game suspension.
