The Los Angeles Lakers are basking in the afterglow of the organization’s 17th NBA title, and LeBron James has seen a bump in his “NBA 2K21” ratings as a reward for leading the team to a championship a little under two weeks ago.
The official Twitter account of “NBA 2K21” announced Wednesday night that new ratings were coming Thursday. James received a one-point bump and now sits with a 98 overall rating, meaning the Lakers star is now in sole possession of the top player rating in this year’s iteration of the iconic video game series.

Original player ratings when “NBA 2K21” was released earlier this year had James sharing the top rating with Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, with both former MVPs netting a 97 overall rating.
James is now in sole possession of the top-rated player in the “NBA 2K21” virtual world, which ever year generates quite a bit of interest around the league, especially when it comes to how players measure up with one another.
Another intriguing “2K21” update comes with the announcement that Jimmy Butler now boasts a 93 overall rating in recognition of how he led the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals in spectacular fashion.

A well-deserved honor for Jimmy Buckets, to say the least.
