LeBron James Reacts to Draymond Green Announcement on Thursday

The Golden State Warriors lost to the Miami Heat on Wednesday, 110-96. It was the second straight loss for Golden State, which lost to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, 121-113.

Stephen Curry, DeAnthony Melton, Al Horford, Jonathan Kuminga and Jimmy Butler didn't play against the Heat as Golden State lost both games of a back-to-back in the state of Florida.

Draymond Green also didn't play due to an illness, so it was a small rotation against Miami.

In the game before against the Magic, Curry scored 34 points with Butler adding 33 and Green had 12 points with six rebounds, six assists and a pair of blocks as he stuffed the stat sheet again.

Green's two blocks against the Magic on Tuesday gave him 12 on the season and it marked the 900th of his NBA career.

On Wednesday morning, the Warriors announced that Green is the second player in franchise history to earn that mark.

On Thursday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James sent a congratulatory message to Green on Instagram.

"Congrats my brother!! @money23green," James wrote with two fire emojis.

The other Warriors player to accomplish that feat is Adonal Foyle, who had 1,140 blocks in his career.

While James and Green compete against one another on opposite Western Conference teams, the two have remained close friends off the court as well.

Green was selected No. 5 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft and has spent his entire career with the Warriors, and he can now put his name high in the record books for the blocks category.

This season, Green is averaging 7.9 points with 5.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists. The Warriors next play against the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Friday, with the game starting at 7:00 pm PST.
