LeBron James has been in the news a lot recently. He recently picked up his $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 NBA season to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers.

News then came out that LeBron isn’t happy with the Lakers roster and may request a trade if he feels LA can’t win a championship. Now, more news has come out claiming LeBron does not like playing with Luka Doncic.

The claim was made by NBA insider John Gambadoro, who said both LeBron and Austin Reaves do not enjoy playing alongside the former Dallas Mavericks star.

“LeBron does not like playing with Luka,” Gambadoro said. “Reaves does not like playing with Luka. Reaves does not like getting the ball with two seconds left on the shot clock. LeBron is not fond of playing with Luka. The Lakers will turn their attention to building around Luka, not LeBron.

“So, this is Luka’s team now,” Gambadoro continued. “He’ll probably come back, but I wouldn’t say it’s a guaranteed no-brainer LeBron comes back to the Lakers because there are guys that don’t like playing with Luka.”

The future for the Los Angeles Lakers appears to be very murky right now. The only guarantee, it seems, is that Doncic will be back and the franchise will build around him.

As for LeBron, his time in Hollywood may be over before the start of the new season.
