LeBron James showed solidarity with his fellow Californians on Friday amid the wildfires ravaging different parts of Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Lakers have had back-to-back home games on Jan. 9 and 11 postponed due to the fires. The team could potentially have even more games postponed given that the Lakers' next three scheduled games are also supposed to be played at Crypto.com Arena.
With basketball on pause in the LA area, James took to social media to express his regret over the ongoing calamity.
"I pray this nightmare ends soon!" said James in an X post. "So many prayers."

James owns a couple of high-end properties in Los Angeles, including homes in Brentwood and Beverley Hills. It remains unclear if James and his family were forced to evacuate their primary residence in Brentwood, which was among the areas given evacuation orders as of Friday night.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick was among those who ended up losing their homes to the fires. The Redick family had been renting a house in the Pacific Palisades for about a year. Redick told reporters Friday that virtually all of the family's personal belongings were destroyed by the flames.
Some of James' Lakers teammates did their part to help those affected by the wildfires. Lakers big men Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt both donated thousands to help a Lakers staffer who lost his childhood home in Altadena to the fire.
