The Los Angeles Lakers will be heading to the postseason in the Western Conference, looking to win another NBA title with the help of LeBron James.
But, before back-to-back showdowns with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West, 40-year-old LeBron James played a little fun with his teammate Austin Reaves.
James, who has missed 11 of the team's 77 games, joked about how it would take three days to recover his sore groin following the alley-oop pass from his 26-year-old teammate.
The pass was on point and slammed home for one of LeBron's nine field goals made in the game. "3 days man" was the message sent from the King to Reaves.
Following the game, as James was talking to the media, he commented on the pass: “That [expletive] lob set me back three days.”
Reaves, who has been a massive part of the Lakers' recent success, finished the game with 30 points and 7 assists.
James expects to play in both of the games against Oklahoma City, as the Lakers start Sunday as the third seed in the West. Los Angeles is just half a game ahead of the Denver Nuggets, and a full game in front of the Golden State Warriors.
As it stands heading into Sunday's game, the Lakers would host the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the postseason.
The Timberwolves hold the tiebreaker over the Clippers and Grizzlies. who are all 46-32 on the season.
Following the back-to-back games in Oklahoma City, the Lakers will remain on the road, as they visit a old teammate in Anthony Davis, in Dallas.
The Lakers wrap their regular season at home against the Rockets on April 11th, before finishing at Portland on April 13th.
