NBA legend and Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash has a new job in basketball.

Nash is best known for his exploits as a player, and he also had a stint as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets for two-plus seasons from 2020-22. Now, Nash is reportedly going to try his hand at broadcasting.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Nash is joining Amazon Prime Video's NBA lineup starting next season. He will be part of the streaming service's in-studio and game coverage.

"Steve Nash recently began podcasting alongside LeBron James and will now expand his basketball broadcasting profile by joining Taylor Rooks, Dirk Nowitzki and Blake Griffin on Amazon's NBA coverage team starting next season," Stein tweeted.

A two-time MVP and eight-time All-Star in his 18-year NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers, Nash retired from basketball following the 2013-14 season with career averages of 14.3 points and 8.5 assists per game.

A native of Canada, Nash served as the general manager of the Canadian men's basketball national team from 2012-19. After being hired as head coach of the Nets in 2020, Nash led Brooklyn to a 48-24 record and Eastern Conference semifinals appearance in his first season.

In 2021-22, Nash and the Nets went 44-38 and lost in the first round. Seven games into the 2022-23 season, the Nets fired the former point guard following a 2-5 start.

Most recently, Nash has been appearing alongside LeBron James as co-host for the Lakers star's "Mind The Game" podcast.

In addition to hiring Nash, Amazon Prime has also tabbed Stan Van Gundy to work as a game analyst on NBA broadcasts. The network has already designed Ian Eagle its No. 1 play-by-plan announcer.

Next year, the NBA begins its 11-year, $76 billion contract agreements with ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock and Amazon Prime Video.
