Shai Gilgeous-Alexander agonizingly went under his rebounds + assists prop by 0.5 on Monday night to ruin our first Look of the Day of the week. We're looking for a bounce-back winner on Tuesday night, and we're going to Madison Square Garden to find it.
The exhausted, beat-up New York Knicks finally ran out of gas in Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers, losing by 32 points in a game that was over after the first quarter. It wasn't the worst possible result for New York, though, as their starters gained some much-needed rest by sitting out the fourth quarter.
That was crucial for Josh Hart, who played all 48 minutes in the first two games of the second-round series. The Knicks guard had played at least 42 minutes in his first nine playoff games, but he recorded only 24 minutes in Game 4 due to the blowout. He finished the game with only three rebounds.
We're getting a slight discount on Hart's rebounds prop in Game 5 due to his performance in Game 4, so we're going to jump on the over. Before last game, Hart grabbed at least 13 boards in four straight games. He's gone over 12.5 rebounds in seven of 10 postseason games so far.
After some unanticipated rest on Sunday, Hart will be refreshed and ready to go another 43-48 minutes in Game 5. He's averaging 20.0 rebound chances per game in the playoffs, so he should be able to cash this over if he handles his normal workload. With Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle and OG Anunoby ruled out for Tuesday night, Hart will need to crash the boards even more than he normally does.
