Los Angeles Lakers Icon Shaquille O’Neal Issues Public Apology to Drake for Disrespectful, Now-Deleted IG Post
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Lakers news: The high-profile beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar appears to have finally come to an end. Now that that’s over, Drizzy appears to have found his next target. This comes in the form of Lakers icon and Hall of Fame big man Shaquille O’Neal.

This is after Shaq posted a highly disrespectful photo of the rapper on the former’s social media account. O’Neal quickly came to his senses, though, and he decided to nip the problem in the bud.

Los Angeles Lakers News: Shaq Issues Apology to Drake

This all started when Shaq posted a photo wherein Drake’s head was photoshopped over that of O’Neal’s girlfriend. The former Lakers center thought it would be a good idea to posit it on Instagram:

The post quickly spiraled out of control, to the point that Shaq had to take it down. He has now come out to issue a public apology to the hip-hop mogul for the misstep:

“Let me apologize real quick,” O’Neal said on a recent episode of his podcast. “I sent out a picture the other day. The mistake I made was I should have said ‘Who did this?’ Listen Drake has a great sense of humor so I thought it was funny that they did it. I don’t want him to think like I saw, ‘Shaq’s Trolling.’ No I’m not rolling. … So Drake I apologize. … Somebody sent it to me, I thought it was funny, and hopefully you thought it was funny too. But once it went viral, I definitely took it down. So my bad Big Drake.”

No harm, no foul, I guess?
