Imagine this. LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. All playing on the same team! Feels like an impossible dream, right? Well, it might just become a reality very soon. At the moment, the situation around the big man in Milwaukee is pretty much complicated.
Currently, there are a lot of teams eyeing to rope in the superstar player. And with the trade deadline nearing, the Antetokounmpo trade watch is intensifying. Amidst all the buzz, a new frontrunner has emerged in the market for the Bucks’ star. As per Howard Beck, the Los Angeles Lakers might just want to form the fiercest trio in the league.
“I was told recently that the Lakers were a team to keep an eye on from Giannis’ standpoint, just as another team of interest,” read the report on X.

Well, the Lakers have done it before. When no one could sense it, they rocked the entire NBA realm by trading in Doncic. And this time too, the scenario might be very similar. Meanwhile, as per Marc Spears, the team acquiring Antetokounmpo must have a championship-worthy team.
The writing is pretty much on the wall for the Milwaukee Bucks. Although Milwaukee has been making every effort to keep its star asset, it might prove futile. Speaking on the Antetokounmpo situation, NBA insider Marc Spears pointed out that any team opting for Antetokounmpo’s services must have a roster worthy of winning the championship.
“Two of the GMs told me that if you’re gonna trade for Giannis and give up one of those coveted picks, you better know that over the next 4 to 5 years you’re gonna be having a team with him to compete for a championship, or it’s gonna be a moot point,” Spears said.

Now then, if the Lakers truly can get the big man, it is no saying that Los Angeles will be one of the teams to beat in the near future.
