Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took time to mention Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton on Tuesday. Haliburton led the Pacers past the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 114-105 victory. Even though James’ former team was the heavy favorites in the series, it didn’t matter since Indiana dominated with a 4-1 win.
The All-Star guard led the Indiana team to its second-straight conference finals appearance. Last year, they beat the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks in the first and second rounds, respectively. However, the Pacers were swept by the eventual champions, the Boston Celtics.
This season, they’re back to avenge their defeat in the conference finals and hopefully be the East team to play in the NBA Finals.
After their series win against Cleveland, the four-time champion hopped on X (formerly Twitter) and was hyped up about the way Haliburton played.
“Hali fkn hooping!!!! Where the lames who said he was overrated??!! Quiet as hell. That boy NICE and even more someone everyone would love to play with!

James was referring to the anonymous players’ poll by The Athletic. In the poll, Haliburton earned the most votes as the “most overrated player” in the league. In the postseason, the Pacers star silenced the critics with his performance to lead Indiana to the third round.
The 6-foot-5 guard had 31 points, six rebounds and eight assists on 60 percent shooting from beyond the arc. His outing did not come unanswered, however. Cavs star Donovan Mitchell put up a fight and had 35 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
Haliburton and the Pacers will wait for their opponent as the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics continue to battle it out. However, the Knicks have the upper hand with a 3-1 lead.
In Game 4 of the Celtics’ second-round playoff series against the Knicks, a devastating injury occurred. Late in the fourth quarter, Jayson Tatum went down on the floor after a non-contact injury. He was escorted by the team, including Boston’s general manager, Brad Stevens. On his way to the locker room, he was put in a wheelchair.
As soon as it happened, the Los Angeles Lakers star reacted to the unfortunate injury on social media.
“
Big Deuce,” James posted.

Despite playing for rival teams, James still showed support for Tatum. Later on, it was confirmed by the organization that the six-time All-Star suffered a torn right Achilles tendon.
