The Los Angeles Lakers ended up falling to the Golden State Warriors by a final score of 123-116 on Thursday night.
With the loss, the Lakers dropped to 46-30 on the season. As for the Warriors, they were able to improve to 45-31.
Both teams are still battling for seeding in the Western Conference. At this point in the season with the playoffs set to arrive, every game is extremely important for teams battling for positioning.
Los Angeles was led in the loss by LeBron James, who put up 33 points to go along with nine assists and five rebounds. Austin Reaves also had a big game, scoring 31 points and knocking down nine of his 16 3-point attempts.
Behind his big performance from the 3-point line, Reaves actually reached a major milestone.

Reaves has taken his game to another level this season. He has become a legitimate star alongside James and Luka Doncic.
Heading into Thursday night's matchup against Golden State, Reaves had averaged a career-high 19.9 points per game to go along with 5.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. He had shot 45.5% from the floor overall and had made 36% of his 3-point attempts.
At just 26 years old, Reaves has turned himself into an even bigger household name among NBA fans.
If Los Angeles is going to make a run to the NBA Finals, it will need Reaves to continue scoring and shooting the ball at an elite level.
