The Los Angeles Lakers have had enough. Trying to win the championship, the team has not had much success over the last couple of years. Despite the presence of Luka Doncic and LeBron James, the team has struggled with consistency this season. And thus, the authorities have opted for some major changes.

At the moment, the team is looking all set to make a playoff push. But a berth in the playoffs is not the only thing that the authorities want. Recently, the Lakers were touted as a team that is interested in Giannis Antetokounmpo. With 31 wins and 19 losses, the purple and gold brigade is all set for a major offseason overhaul.

According to a recent update from LakersMuse on X, “The Lakers are going to model their front office after the Dodgers and make significant hires this summer, per@DanWoikeSports

One rival executive said “It’s going to be scary” when asked about the potential Lakers front office.”

Well, the Lakers have always been quite an ambitious bunch. And once again, the offseason might bear witness to something similar. Meanwhile, trying to ring in significant changes, Los Angeles are ready to part ways with LeBron James too!

Los Angeles Lakers Are Unwilling To Pay A Lot Of Money For LeBron James

The writing is clearly on the wall. As James approaches the end of his career, the team’s importance is diminishing with each passing day. Since Doncic joined, the Lakers have been trying to shift their focus fully to the former Dallas Mavericks star. And now, recent updates from Brian Windhorst suggest that the franchise is unwilling to pay a hefty sum of money to James.

“If he’s going to play for another season, then how much money is he willing to play for? Because the Lakers almost certainly are going to ask him to take a pay cut, potentially a significant one. Would he be comfortable doing that to help the team build out, similar to what Dirk Nowitzki did in Dallas at the end of his career?” Brian Windhorst said.

Thus, with things looking a bit sensitive, fans will wait to see what comes up next.
