Los Angeles Lakers Star LeBron James to Philadelphia 76ers Picks Up More Steam With Latest Stunning Report
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Paul George and Jimmy Butler are two of the superstars that have already been linked to the Philadelphia 76ers in what is looking like a monumental offseason for the Sixers. As it turns out, Philly has now added another player to their wish list. It’s not just any player either, as they now reportedly have their sights set on none other than LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Philadelphia 76ers News: LeBron James Linked to Sixers in Free Agency

Team insider Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer confirmed that George, Butler, and even Brandon Ingram are all in the mix for the Sixers. Pompey also added LeBron to Philly’s star-studded NBA free agency list:

“The Sixers want a maximum-salary player via free agency or a trade from a pool that includes Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, and New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram,” Pompey wrote.

The Sixers are looking to add a third star alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, and that third player could be LeBron. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer is expected to pick up his player option with the Lakers for the upcoming season, but at this point, nothing is guaranteed.

LeBron reportedly wants the Lakers to draft his son, Bronny James, and hire JJ Redick as their new head coach. If he does not get his way, then the possibility of James leaving Hollywood becomes even more plausible.

At this point, it appears that the Sixers will be the first team in line in a potential LeBron summer sweepstakes.
