Luka Doncic Draws Perfect Anime Comparison From Lakers Teammate

If there was an election right now and Luka Doncic decided to run for mayor of Los Angeles, the entire city would unanimously vote for him.

With Doncic leading the way, the depleted Los Angeles Lakers beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 108-102, on Sunday at Crypto.com Arena. They notched their sixth straight win and climbed to No. 2 in the Western Conference with a 38-21 record.

Doncic finished with a team-high 29 points, including five three-pointers, on top of six rebounds, nine assists and two steals, to tow the Lakers to victory despite playing without Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, who were both nursing injuries.

After the game, Gabe Vincent was asked about the 26-year-old Doncic's impact. He didn't hesitate when naming the perfect anime reference for his teammate.

“You’ve got a guy in your corner going Super Saiyan, for lack of a better word,” said Vincent in a report from Los Angeles Times' Dan Woike. "(He's) making great plays, hitting shots, it’s a lot of fun."

The Lakers are now 6-2 with Doncic, who's increasingly getting comfortable leading one of the most storied franchises in sports. The concerns about his chemistry with LeBron James have been squashed.

Vincent, who chipped in nine points and three rebounds against the Clippers, added that Doncic channeling his inner San Goku can be quite contagious for them.

"It can give us a lot of life and we’ve been creating a lot of energy on the defensive side. When he gets hot offensively, we feel like we can’t be stopped in that regard,” said Vincent.

Perhaps the only important question now is: How do you say "Kamehameha" in Slovenian?
