The stars were out in Central Florida Monday night as the Orlando Magic hosted the Los Angeles Lakers on their third game of an east coast road trip.
Fans were treated to a star-studded event. Lakers free agency defector Dwight Howard was also inducted into the Magic Hall of Fame, and acrobat entertainer Red Panda performed at halftime.
The Magic set a new franchise attendance record with 19,598 fans in the Kia Center. This now marks the largest crowd in Magic history, surpassing the record of 19,587 set by the New York Knicks when they made the trip to The City Beautiful in 2023.
No doubt the recent acquisition of Luka Doncic in a blockbuster trade has fueled attendance figures league-wide, especially when The LakeShow comes to town.

It marks the largest crowd in @OrlandoMagic history.
The previous best was 19,587, set on Dec. 29, 2023 vs. New York.
The Magic bested the Lakers 118-106, shifting their standing into the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero combined for 62 points.
Magic faithful will always revel in a victory over the 17-time NBA Champion Lakers as the franchise has a long history of prying star power from Orlando since the mid-nineties starting with Shaquille O’Neal to Dwight Howard.
Orlando is pushing along as it hopes to stave off a play-in tournament situation to reach the postseason. The Magic face the Charlotte Hornets Tuesday night in the latter half of a back-to-back.
