Guard Lester Quinones has agreed to a deal with the Orlando Magic, where he will compete for a spot on the regular season roster or potentially land a two-way contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Quinones, 24, split last season between the New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers, appearing in 13 NBA games. He averaged 6.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 14.1 minutes per contest.

The Pelicans released him from his two-way contract in July.

He also spent much of his year in the G League, where he was a consistent producer. Across 41 games with the Birmingham Squadron and Delaware Blue Coats, Quinones averaged 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists while logging 36 minutes per game.

In five Summer League appearances, he posted 8.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21.6 minutes.

Orlando’s backcourt rotation is crowded following a busy offseason. Jalen Suggs is expected to remain a starter when healthy, while the Magic added Desmond Bane in a trade with Memphis and signed Tyus Jones in free agency.

Anthony Black and Jett Howard return for their second seasons, and rookie Jase Richardson is expected to get an early look.

Quinones, represented by agent Scott Wong Nichols, will attempt to carve out a role in training camp and provide depth behind Orlando’s core group.
