There is reportedly some "uncertainty" surrounding Steph Curry's injury right now as the Golden State Warriors plan their best course of action amid the former back-to-back MVP's troubling hamstring strain.
Curry suffered the injury in Game 1 of their second-round NBA playoffs series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After undergoing an MRI, the Warriors announced that Curry was set to miss at least one week, which meant that he would not be available for Games 2 through 4.
NBA guru Shams Charania provided a major update on Curry's status on Saturday night ahead of Golden State's Game 3 showdown against the Wolves. According to the renowned NBA insider, Curry and the Warriors are working hard to get the 37-year-old back on the court as soon as possible.
At the same time, however, the last thing the team will do here is to rush Curry back and risk further injury.
"Stephen Curry is back in San Francisco and he's receiving a ton of treatment on that hamstring strain," Charania said. "There's still plenty of work to be done to get him to the point of movement, contact, running, and sprinting; and he'll be reevaluated on Wednesday."
Charania continued by saying that at this point, the objective for the Warriors is to win at least one of the two games at Chase Center in order to extend this series as much as they possibly can.
"[The Warriors want to] buy Stephen Curry some time because internally, there is uncertainty," Charania revealed. "I'm told the Warriors are really looking at that Game 6 as the earliest potential window for Stephen Curry's return.
"... That would give them four days, as we see right there between Game 5 and Game 6; 12 total days of recovery from that injury from when he suffered it in Game 1."

Charania ended his update by pointing out that this is the first time Curry has sustained this type of muscle strain in his entire 16-year career, which only means that "there's going to be a level of caution with this injury."
For now, the Warriors have no other choice but to take this series one game at a time. It starts on Saturday as they play their first home game in this second-round matchup.
A victory in Game 2 will certainly go a long way for Golden State.
