Knicks' Morris: Crowder has 'female tendencies on the court'
Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

Marcus Morris blasted Jae Crowder after Wednesday night’s debacle at the end of the Memphis Grizzlies’ 127-106 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

In the final minute of the game, Crowder got a steal and then decided to go back behind the 3-point line to attempt a shot. Elfrid Payton rushed over and shoved Crowder for what he felt was a disrespectful move.

Crowder, Payton and Morris were ejected from the game for the incident. Damyean Dotson and Jonas Valanciunas received technical fouls for participating in the scuffle.

Speaking with the media after the game, Morris blasted Crowder for being “soft” and playing “woman-like.”

“He plays the game in a different way. He’s got a lot of female tendencies on the court, flopping and throwing his head back…it’s a man’s game and you just get tired of it,” Morris said. “And obviously at the end, it’s very unprofessional. His game is soft, he’s soft … just very woman-like.”

Morris’ comment about Crowder capped off a disaster of a finish at Madison Square Garden, which also included “sell the team” chants, and complaints about the visitors’ shower not working.
