Adam Silver stirred up some controversy when speaking about how fans will watch NBA games in the upcoming 2025-26 season. He spoke about the issue of fans paying for multiple streaming services.
Silver explained that fans who cannot afford these streaming services can “watch highlights” on platforms like YouTube instead.
This comment certainly rubbed many people the wrong way. Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban, has come to Silver’s defense.
“Adam definitely whiffed on this one,” Cuban said. “But I can tell you that unless a lot has changed in the last 20 months, he is one of the people standing up for fans in a room where a lot of owners are not.”

Cuban certainly has his opinion about Silver and what he has done for the fans. Unfortunately for Silver, this comment still won’t sit well with many, as it is clear that the NBA cares more about making money than its fans.
