Mat Ishbia says he expects Suns to stay steady after the break

The Suns hit the All-Star break right where they wanted to be, and team owner Mat Ishbia isn’t looking for anything fancy the rest of the way.

Just consistency.

Phoenix sits at 32-23, seventh in the West and very much in the mix. Ishbia told Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic that the expectation is simple. Keep competing. Keep stacking good habits. Keep showing up.

“Just more of the same,” Ishbia said. “We’re going to compete at a high level and have a team the fans can be proud of. I think we’ve done that so far, but we’ve got to consistently do it. Fifty-five games are not enough.”

That message fits the Suns’ broader approach this season. Phoenix has leaned into toughness, depth, and culture-building rather than chasing splashy fixes.

The roster still has limitations, and flexibility remains tight, but the results have spoken louder than the noise.
