The injury-riddled Dallas Mavericks have gotten off to an underwhelming 4-10 start to the NBA season, and things are seemingly going from bad to worse in the injury department.

Dallas' 10-time All-NBA center, Anthony Davis (calf) who was the team's marquee return in the Luka Doncic trade last year, has played in just five games this season, as he hasn't taken the floor since Oct. 29. Dallas also continues to struggle to find a true point guard to fill in for Kyrie Irving who is out with a knee injury that will sidelined him for a large chunk of the season. As the team prepares to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, they will be doing so even more shorthanded than initially anticipated.

As confirmed by the team on Monday, they will be without big men Daniel Gafford (ankle) and Derek Lively II (knee), who both played in the team's 138-133 overtime win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Gafford started the game and scored 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while grabbing six rebounds in 31 minutes of action. As for Lively, he scored just two points in 12 minutes off the bench.

Alongside Gafford and Lively, Dallas will also be without Dante Exum and Ryan Nembhard. Monday's game against Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves will tip off at 8:00 p.m. ET and air on NBA League Pass.
