It's no secret that Luka Doncic is one of the most exciting young players in the league, as he has managed to average 28 points per game in each of his last two seasons despite barely being old enough to buy a beer.
But has the 22-year-old been impressive enough to attract big-name stars in free agency? Yes, at least according to Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who told The Athletic's Tim Cato that "a lot" of star players are interested in joining Doncic in Dallas.
Whether or not Cuban is making this up to hype up the face of his franchise, it's not hard to imagine why star players would be excited by the prospect of playing with Doncic on the Mavericks. He is off to a historically great start to his career, winning Rookie of the Year, being named an All-Star twice and making All-NBA First Time in less than three seasons.
Cuban also addressed the relationship between Doncic and teammate Kristaps Porzingis, as it has been rumored that the two do not get along. While Cuban said he was not surprised by the scrutiny, he didn't exactly go out of his way to deny that the two aren't the biggest fans of each other, describing them as having a "good, solid business relationship."
