It has been nearly two months since the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic , and their fans are nowhere close to forgiving GM Nico Harrison for it. A Mavericks fan yelled, "Fire Nico," right in Harrison's face before Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets at American Airlines Center, and that clip unsurprisingly went viral.

That was rather bold of the fan to say it right in front of Harrison. He appeared to get angrier every time he said it, too. While Harrison didn't have anything to say in response, it would appear he or someone else asked security to confront this fan.

It is unclear if this individual was kicked out of the game. We had previously seen the Mavericks eject a fan for mouthing "Fire Nico" on the jumbotron. With how often this chant has broken out by now, perhaps no further action was taken against this individual. '
Harrison has become public enemy No. 1 in Dallas, and he can expect to be heckled in this manner at the American Airlines Center for the foreseeable future. He even had to hear the chant at Frost Bank Center during a game against the San Antonio Spurs, which lets you know just how unpopular of a decision it was to trade Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
To make matters worse for Harrison, the Lakers have taken off following the trade while the Mavericks have crumbled. A series of injuries is a big reason why, and the team currently has a 37-39 record after losing 113-109 to the Nets.
Doncic, meanwhile, has played a big role in the Lakers being 46-29 this season. He is averaging 27.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game for his new team and has become a fan favorite.
Doncic isn't the only player Harrison has traded this season who is shining, either. Quentin Grimes is averaging 21.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game for the Philadelphia 76ers after being traded for Caleb Martin.
Fans ripped Harrison after Grimes' 46-point game against the Houston Rockets on March 17. It was his second 40-point game for his 76ers, and fans couldn't believe Harrison had just let him go.
Grimes could have helped keep the Mavericks afloat during the injury crisis, but they were instead left with Martin, who was injured himself. It was just a complete disaster all-around.
Despite so many things going wrong this season, Harrison is not at risk of losing his job, much to the chagrin of Mavericks fans. He is sticking around, and the fanbase is hoping he doesn't make any more disastrous trades that could hurt the franchise even more.
The Mavericks are in action next against the Atlanta Hawks at American Airlines Center on Wednesday at 8:30 PM ET. Considering what happened here, Harrison might think twice before showing up in front of fans before that game.
